I am not a model. I don’t look like the women on your website. Is this experience right for me? 

Yes! The women on my website are just like you and me. Most of them also looked at the images on my site and thought, “there’s no way mine are turning out that good since I don’t look like a model.” I understand how to pose women (and men) in figure flattering ways that highlight your very best attributes. You don’t have to know what you’re doing AT ALL. I promise to take the best photos you’ve ever seen of yourself and we’ll have fun doing it!

I don’t know how to pose and feel stiff and awkward in front of the camera. What should I do?

It’s not your job to capture amazing photos of yourself, it’s my job. And I’m really good at it. I’ll never ask you “do something,” or “pose.” I will guide you every step of the way. All you have to do is show up and mirror me. You don’t have to know what to do, because I know and I’ll lovingly show you :) This is a judgement free, fun, empowering environment.

How long does the session take?

If hair and makeup is included in your session, you should expect to spend approximately 3.5 hours in our San Ramon home studio. Pro tip: plan some additional fun activities after your shoot! (Dinner with your bae, drinks with your girlfriends, a quiet stroll on the beach…) Trust me, you’ll leave walking "on cloud 9" and you’re going to want to prolong those good vibes. 

What should I wear?

The simplest answer is… wear whatever you feel beautiful in. 🖤 Once you've booked your session with me, you will receive a detailed photoshoot prep guide. It will walk you through EVERYTHING you need to prepare for your session, including wardrobe.

Some of the best shoots include clothing you already have in your closet. Think: an off the shoulder sweater, a bodysuit, an oversized button up top, your fave classic t-shirt and high waist panties, lingerie, your favorite cocktail dress... Easy peezy.

Do you offer hair & makeup?

Yes, professional the hair & makeup artistry is available. Just ask during booking!

How much do you Photoshop?

Your images are delicately hand retouched. It is standard to edit out minor blemishes/skin flaws and under eye circles. I will also edit out small scars (but only at your request). I apply a gentle skin smoothing process that softens fine lines, wrinkles, and fades stretch marks while still achieving a very natural look. (Feel free to request more or less softening if you have a preference). While I do not change the size or shape of your body in Photoshop, I do guide you into flattering angles and strategic posing to play down any areas that concern you. 

How many looks can we do in one session?

We typically have time for 3 different outfits. (But, always bring at least 4 for options).

Where do the portrait sessions take place?

Beauty and boudoir sessions take place in an inviting, comfortable home studio where you’ll enjoy beverages and light snacks. The process is fun and worry free. (Family and branding sessions can take place in studio or on-location depending on weather conditions).

Do you photograph families?

Yes! I love creating gorgeous contemporary family photos. * Additional charges may apply depending on the number of people.

Will you publish my images on social media or your website? 

Fo sho! But only with your expressed, written permission. Most clients love being featured in our social accounts, website, photography competitions, or printed materials. When/if you allow your images to be shared, you encourage other women to step into their greatness as well.
